As a Malaysian/British breed born in Taiwan, Stephanie Bovis was raised in Hong Kong, India and England before she was even 18 years old. She then lived in California for university and has finally decided to settle in Singapore.

Her personality is as colourful as the places she’s lived in, as she savours cultures and cuisines with zest. A devoted meditor and fitness freak, she seeks to find balance in all aspects and is always up for new challenges.

Her vivacious nature, worldly exposure and poise make her a Host to look out for.

If you have a time machine and can travel back or front in time, when and where would you go?

I am all about living in the present here and now, however if I were to teleport to a place, it would have to be back to the Renaissance Era in Europe. So much love, romance, and creativity shared during that period. Something we lack in today’s technology-focused society.

What is 1 thing that irritates / annoys you the most?

People who don’t listen and/or are always on their phones.

What is the thing you are most afraid of?

Bees! Was stung badly as a kid and ever since then have had a massive phobia for them!

What is one thing you have always wanted to do but still have yet to do it?

Scuba dive.

What have you done that you are most proud of?

Helped build houses for those in need in Cambodia.

If you were a superhero, what would your powers be?

I would want to have the most amazing healing powers in the world. I would want to balance the chakras of every living being I encounter, and heal all wounds or pains that are there. And of course, I would want to have teleportation powers, who wouldn’t?

I would rather be poked in the eye by a hot skewer than be put in a roomful of bees.
