Celebrating Australia Day!

It was a spectacular evening, filled with friends, laughter and fun. And boy did they have fun, as they danced till dawn.

Emcee Paula Malai hosted the ANZ Australia Day Ball 2012, which was organized by AustCham Singapore, and had only 1 aim, to provide an evening of great music (alot of it Australian), Abundant wine (All Australian) and food (with an Australian feel and Australian ingredients) all wrapped around Australia’s National Day which falls on 26 January.

Guests were treated to Poached Scallop on Cured Daikon, Slow Roasted Victoria “Grainge” Angus Beef” as well as a Grand Cru 66% Chocolate Mousse to list just a few dishes produced by the chefs at Swisotel Singapore. Beers and wine from the Milton Park Chardonnay 2010 to the Lavina Gold Series Cabernet Savignon 2008 were free flowing that evening.

The Lasalle College of the Art’s Faculty of Performing Arts, in honour of the contributions of their Australian faculty and students,  presented a performance specifically created to commemorate Australia Day.

There was also no way fun loving Australians would leave a party without kicking off their shoes to dance the night away. BigCityBeat  described as Australia’s most versatile and entertaining band with their costumed show, covered all genres including ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and today. And this band had amazing party vibe!
